Trying something new usually sounds fun. This time, it comes with a race bib and 10K! 🏃♀️😅
I’m running my first 10K at City of Oaks for Asha for Education! I’m a little nervous, very excited, and hoping my legs are as enthusiastic as I was when I signed up.
This is a personal milestone, but it’s also an opportunity to support something beyond my own finish line: helping children access education and opportunities to learn and grow.

What is Asha ?
Asha for Education is a non-profit organization that works with grassroots projects in India that are focused on education. I’ve known about Asha for some time now and their work is meaningful and genuine, making solid impact to improve lives. Charity Navigator has given Asha their highest 4-star rating.

Where will the money go ?
I hope to raise $500 (~$50/km) for Vidyodaya in India. Vidyodaya School, located near Gudalur in the Nilgiris, TN, teaches mostly tribal children. Asha RTP supports operation of a school bus and construction of classroom.
Asha is a near-zero overhead organization. Every dollar donated will go to the project.
How much should I give ?
Motivate me for a km or two? Anything counts and no amount is too small.
Each dollar educates someone needy in India and can help transform more than one life.
